Makers’ market: Apply now!
Introducing The Crossing Retail Pop-Up! The Crossing at East Cut is thrilled to launch a new initiative with SFOEWD and Amazon aimed at supporting the small business community of San Francisco! This space will give entrepreneurs a platform to showcase their businesses, grow their brands, and unlock new inspiration for success without the financial barrier of standard commercial leases. The program is made possible with funding from SFOEWD and Amazon, and leasing support from San Francisco’s Chamber of Commerce.
This initiative will achieve multiple goals, with the principal objective of helping San Francisco entrepreneurs test their products or services in a brick-and-mortar environment.
The Crossing Retail Pop-Up is simple. The Crossing will host local retail vendors (makers or services) for 2-week windows and will subsidize the full cost of rent.
Steps for participation:
Fill out our application via the provided link, or emailinfo@eastcutcrossing.com.
The Crossing will evaluate applications based on schedule availability and vendor ability tobegin operating in the space.
The vendor agrees to set business hours and commits to staff the kiosk during those hours.
From November through December, the kiosk will host multiple vendors at the same time for a"Makers’ Bazaar" during the holiday season. Solo pop-ups will begin in the New Year.
PUBLIC ART
The Crossing at East Cut is for the community, by the community. While the site recently opened, we have grand plans for developing it into a world-class, immersive destination to be enjoyed by all.
As part of that plan, we seek to enhance the site and support local artists by installing and showcasing their creative works. What are we looking for? Anything really that fits within a public, community space. Large installations, multi-piece works, digital art and murals, or anything of which you can conceive.
These can be existing or new pieces and be on display temporarily or for the duration of The Crossing activation. While our plans entail fundraising to commission pieces, we’re currently only able to offer funds for transportation, installation or other offsets.
Please contact us at info@eastcutcrossing.com to let us know you’re interested, providing a brief summary of your concept, as well as any questions you may have. We look forward to bringing the site to life with your inspirations!
